The candidates
Price Smith joined the prosecutor’s office in 2008. Gov. Mike Parson appointed her in December 2024 to succeed Wesley Bell, and she took office in January 2025, according to St. Louis Public Radio.
She has said she reinstated the violent crime unit, created a dedicated homicide unit and expanded programs for domestic violence and special victims cases, according to West Newsmagazine. Her office no longer supports straight probation for offenders who commit crimes with a gun.
No campaign website was identified for Brown, a North St. Louis County resident running as a Libertarian. He has said he served as chief of police and fire marshal for the City of Kinloch and as a paralegal for St. Louis County government, as we reported Oct. 19. Brown said in a candidate questionnaire that he would focus on cold-case solvability and mandated training for law enforcement officers.
Official certified results will be posted on the St. Louis County Board of Elections 2026 results archive.
