Chesterfield's Free July 4 Celebration Adds New Shuttle Service
Families across Chesterfield Valley will have a full evening of free entertainment on Saturday, July 4, 2026, when the city's annual Fourth of July Firework Celebration returns to the First Community Athletic Complex at 17925 North Outer 40 Road.
Gates open at 6 p.m. Kids' activities, including carnival-style swings, slides, a rock climbing wall, pony rides, a petting zoo, and performances by Circus Kaput, start at 6:30 p.m. Live music from Fat Pocket runs 7 to 9 p.m. A flyover from an original World War II-era B-25 bomber is scheduled for 7:45 p.m., and fireworks begin at 9 p.m.
The event is free. Lawn chairs, blankets, and outside food and beverages are welcome. Glass containers, tobacco products, and firepits are not allowed. Food trucks will serve from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
Getting there
The city has made several parking and transportation changes this year. Accessible parking has moved to the west side of the lot behind the Parks, Recreation & Arts offices and now includes complimentary shuttle service to the event grounds. A new dedicated passenger drop-off lane is available off North Outer 40 Road for drop-off only.
Two overflow lots offer free shuttle service to and from the complex: St. Louis Premium Outlets and Maryville Hockey Complex.
Congestion is expected on North Outer 40 Road; the city recommends using the shuttle from overflow lots.
Morning runners, too
The celebration starts early for runners. The Chesterfield Stars & Stripes 5K Run/Walk begins at 8:30 a.m. at the same complex, with a Kids Fun Run at 9:30 a.m.
