Heaven Brooks faces an organized retail theft charge after police say she and three others stole $1,860 in North Face clothing from the Dick's Sporting Goods in Chesterfield, then listed the stolen items for sale on social media with the security sensors still attached.

Brooks entered the store on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, with three accomplices, according to Fox 2. The group grabbed the merchandise and left in a waiting vehicle within four minutes.

Police circulated still images of the suspects to other agencies. Two officers who had prior encounters with the group identified them.

Investigators then searched Brooks' social media accounts and found the stolen North Face items listed for sale, security sensors and all. Additional posts from July 2025 showed brand-new Alo, Lululemon, and Nike items also listed for sale. A probable cause statement indicates police were already investigating Brooks for organized retail theft before the November incident.

Brooks was arrested on February 21 for three more thefts from other Dick's Sporting Goods locations. Police described the activity as part of an "overall scheme" to resell stolen goods.

She is charged with one count of organized retail theft between $750 and $10,000.

The case is the second organized retail theft bust Chesterfield police have announced in days. On Saturday, July 25, officers arrested two suspects at St. Louis Premium Outlets in connection with a $130,000 multi-state cosmetics theft ring. In that case, Sgt. Robert Power of the Chesterfield Police Department told First Alert 4 that the financial toll extends beyond individual stores: "When you're talking about tens of thousands of dollars, it impacts prices. And worst-case scenarios, it could result in business closures, which means loss of jobs."

Brooks' court hearing is set for Monday, August 31.
