The Ellisville Summer Concert Series brings Metro St. Louis band GREENSBORO to the Bluebird Park's covered amphitheater stage on Thursday, July 30th at 7 p.m.

The show is free and open to the public.

GREENSBORO is a five-piece group based in the St. Louis metro area that plays what the band calls "Laurel Canyon-inspired country rock," according to its website. The park's amphitheater, at 225 Kiefer Creek Road, sits alongside picnic areas, sports fields, and the EDGE Aquatic Center.

The amphitheater's covered stage has roots in the community itself. Former Mayor Mike Roemerman, in an April interview with West Newsmagazine reflecting on his eight-year tenure, described the roof as one of his administration's early projects. It was built with resident input to keep performers and equipment safe from rain and summer heat.

"Getting that cover on there was big for the performers, because otherwise, they're setting up on concrete that's been baking in the sun all day, and it was extremely hot on that stage," Roemerman told West Newsmagazine in April.

The concert series is run by Ellisville Parks and Recreation, directed by Sally Grobelny. Residents with questions can call the department at 636-227-7508. Bluebird Park stays open until 10 p.m. through October.
