Families in Chesterfield and Wildwood can grab a scoop and try their luck on Sunday, July 19, when Silver Spoon Ice Cream & Sweets hosts National Ice Cream Day raffles and giveaways at both local shops. Prizes include free ice cream and branded swag.

Wildwood families can make a day of it. The city's Route 66 Centennial celebration wraps up July 19 with a historic marker unveiling at Big Chief Roadhouse at noon and a Route 66 presentation by Joe Sonderman at Living Word Church from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Singers Ice Cream is also marking the holiday along Manchester Road.
