Lafayette High School's football team shut out Parkway Central 47-0 on Friday, Oct. 9, snapping a four-game losing streak and improving to 3-4 on the season.

The Lancers scored a season-high 47 points at Parkway Central High School in Chesterfield, according to the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA). The Colts dropped to 0-7 and have now lost 16 straight games dating to last season, MaxPreps reported.

The win was a turnaround for a Wildwood program that had dropped four consecutive games by a combined score of 114-83. Those losses came against Pattonville High School (21-26 on Sept. 11), Lindbergh (27-28 on Sept. 18), Marquette (21-27 on Sept. 25) and Rockwood Summit (14-33 on Oct. 2).

Head coach Curt Mueller's squad had struggled to find offensive consistency during the skid. After Lafayette's 21-26 loss to Pattonville on Sept. 11, Mueller told the Lancer Feed, "They shouldn't have to rely on trick plays to move the ball on offense."

The offense found its footing against Parkway Central. Lafayette now averages 26.4 points per game, while the Colts entered the matchup allowing 45.6 points per game.

Lafayette leads the all-time series against Parkway Central 6-0. The Lancers have outscored the Colts 280-14 across those six meetings, with five of the six wins coming by 35 or more points.

Lafayette hosts Eureka at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16. Eureka enters the matchup at 5-2, while the Lancers are 3-4.
