Parkway West lost 45-7 at Lindbergh on Friday, Oct. 9, its second straight defeat after a 5-0 start.

The 38-point loss dropped Parkway West to 5-2. Lindbergh, a Class 6 program and the No. 5 seed in Class 6 District 1, improved to 3-4 with the win, according to the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA).

The Longhorns have scored just seven points in each of their last two games. Their first loss came Oct. 2 at Fox, 7-27, ending a five-game winning streak in which they outscored opponents 193-31. Quarterback Braden Biermann and tight end Max Jones, a Chesterfield native listed as a Rivals300 recruit, connected on a 15-yard touchdown to tie that Fox game 7-7 at halftime before Fox pulled away, the Leader Paper reported.

Individual statistics were not available from the sources reviewed.

The skid is a sharp reversal for a Ballwin program that looked dominant through five weeks. Parkway West shut out three straight opponents, beating Parkway Central 43-0, Riverview Gardens 50-0 and Hazelwood East 34-0, before the offense stalled.

Both losses have come on the road. The Longhorns are 3-0 at home and 2-2 away this season.

Parkway West sits at No. 3 in the MSHSAA Class 5 District 2 playoff seeding. The Longhorns return home Friday, Oct. 16, to face Hazelwood West at 6 p.m. at 14653 Clayton Road in Ballwin, then travel to Ladue on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m.
