The Parkway West Longhorns softball program heads into the 2026 fall season with serious momentum. The Longhorns posted a 22-win campaign in 2025, per MSHSAA records, and return senior third baseman Noor Hacking among a core of experienced players.
The schedule opens with a Varsity Jamboree scrimmage at Kirkwood High School on Saturday, August 22 at 9:00 a.m., followed by the Parkway Softball Tournament running Monday, August 31 through Wednesday, September 2 at Lions Park in Eureka (340 Bald Hill Rd, Fields #1–4). From there, the Longhorns face 14 more games through mid-October.

Rivalry matchups to circle
Tuesday, September 8 — at Lafayette (Wildwood), 4:30 p.m. The Lancers own a 16-2 all-time edge in this series and eliminated Parkway West 9-4 in the Class 5 District 2 Tournament on October 16, 2025. The Longhorns did beat Lafayette 11-6 in the regular season on September 9, 2025.
Monday, September 14 — vs. Marquette, 4:15 p.m. (home). The Mustangs lead the all-time series 15-5. Parkway West won 8-3 at home in 2024 and 7-0 in 2023 but dropped the most recent meeting 2-4 on August 28, 2025.
Thursday, October 1 — vs. Parkway South, 4:15 p.m. (home). The Longhorns rolled 14-2 in this matchup on October 14, 2025.
Wednesday, October 7 — vs. St. Francis Borgia, 4:15 p.m. (home). MSHSAA records show no prior varsity meeting between these two programs, making this the first-ever matchup. JV follows at 5:45 p.m.
Player to watch
Hacking, a senior who plays club ball for Top Gun, is one of the program's most experienced returners. In an October 2025 interview with the school's Pathfinder newspaper, she described the team's resilience after losing two Division I commits: "We were very prepared," she said of the 2025 squad, which started 13-4.
The season wraps Monday, October 12 against Francis Howell North on the road in St. Charles. Parkway West owns a two-game winning streak in that series, including a 9-0 shutout on September 3, 2025.
