A new automobile retail store is headed to Chesterfield Airport Road after the Planning Commission voted 7-0 on April 28 to approve site plans for a 1.1-acre parcel on the south side of the road.

The project, listed as TSG Chesterfield Airport Road, Lot C, includes a site development plan, landscape plan, lighting plan, and architectural elevations for the building. Commissioner Gail Choate moved for approval; Commissioner Marino seconded. The vote was unanimous among the seven commissioners present, with Commissioners Harris and Midgley absent.

The Staenberg Group, the developer behind the project, has not disclosed which auto brand or dealer will occupy the site. The parcel sits in a Planned Commercial zoning district on the same corridor as an existing Tesla dealership and other retailers near Spirit of St. Louis Airport.

TSG is also the developer behind Downtown Chesterfield, the $2 billion redevelopment of the former Chesterfield Mall site where utility work and site grading are underway through summer 2027.

No construction timeline or opening date for the Lot C auto store has been announced. The project did not appear on the May 4 City Council agenda for Power of Review. The next City Council meeting is May 18.
