Rockwood Adventure Club Drops Monthly Fees, Moves to Daily Rate Model This Fall
Families using Rockwood's Adventure Club will pay by the day instead of by the month starting this fall.
The before- and after-school program, which serves nearly 1,000 children and employs 186 staff across all 19 Rockwood elementary schools, is replacing its flat monthly fee with a daily rate model for the 2026-27 school year. The change also applies to Parkway families. Both districts' programs are run by Parkway-Rockwood Community Education.
Under the new structure, costs are calculated from a weekly rate multiplied by the number of contracted days in a given month. The per-day rate is lower for families who schedule more days per week. Parkway-Rockwood Community Ed posted the new rate structure on its website in February, roughly two weeks before registration opened March 3 for current families and March 10 for new families.
Specific rate tables are available at prcommunityed.org. The program has not publicly stated whether the new model raises or lowers costs for a typical family.
Care runs from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. A non-refundable activation fee of $95 per child, capped at $190 per family, applies. Non-school day registration opens Aug. 1, 2026.
