Rockwood Graduation Ceremonies: Dates, Times, and What Families Need to Know
More than 1,600 Rockwood School District seniors will cross the stage at the Family Arena in St. Charles over three days next month, the district announced this week. Graduation ceremonies for all four Rockwood high schools are scheduled for May 9, 11, and 12.
Here's the full schedule:
- Lafayette High School — Saturday, May 9, at 10 a.m.
- Marquette High School — Saturday, May 9, at 3 p.m.
- Eureka High School — Monday, May 11, at 7 p.m.
- Rockwood Summit High School — Tuesday, May 12, at 7 p.m.
All four ceremonies take place at the Family Arena, 2002 Arena Pkwy., St. Charles. Seniors' last day of school is Friday, May 8 — the day before the first caps fly.
What Families Need to Know
Arrive early. Graduates should be at the arena at least 90 minutes before their ceremony starts. Doors open for guests roughly 30 to 45 minutes before each event.
Watch the bag rules. The Family Arena enforces a clear bag policy. Bags must be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and no larger than 12-by-6-by-12 inches. A one-gallon clear freezer bag or a small clutch purse is also allowed. Plan ahead — this catches families off guard every year.
Can't make it in person? All four ceremonies will be livestreamed on the Family Arena's YouTube channel, according to the district. Photos and video will also be posted on the district's website and social media accounts in the days following the events.
Rockwood, St. Louis County's largest public school district, serves more than 18,500 students across Chesterfield, Wildwood, Eureka, Ballwin, and Ellisville. The district posts a 96.9 percent graduation rate, above Missouri's 91.4 percent state average, according to its annual report.
