Chesterfield Amphitheater Adds America 250 Trivia Night, ELO Tribute to Summer Lineup
Two new events are headed to the Chesterfield Amphitheater this summer: an America 250 Trivia Night on Tuesday, July 14, and a Mr. Blue Sky ELO tribute concert on Saturday, August 15.
The trivia night, part of the city's yearlong "Chesterfield Celebrates 250" programming, will test teams on American history and culture in the Amphitheater's Plaza. Doors open at 6 p.m., with trivia running 7–9 p.m. Registration is $30 per team of six. Food and drinks are allowed (no glass), and the Plaza Bar will be open. Teams can sign up through Eventbrite.
A month later, the 3,200-seat venue hosts Mr. Blue Sky, a St. Louis-based 10-piece ELO tribute act founded by musician Jeff Faulkner. The band features a three-piece string section and members who have performed with The Who, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, and Weird Al Yankovic. Mr. Blue Sky has played the Amphitheater on multiple previous occasions.
The Steve Ewing Duo opens the show. Ewing is the lead vocalist of St. Louis band The Urge and owner of Steve's Hot Dogs.
Doors open at 6 p.m. on August 15, with the show starting at 7 p.m. Advance tickets are $20 for general admission lawn seating and $25 for reserved stadium seats. Prices go up $5 at the door. A four-pack general admission option runs $60. Advance pricing ends Friday, August 14 at 11:59 p.m. The concert is all ages. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite.
Both events join a full summer schedule at the Amphitheater, which also includes a rescheduled Sounds of Summer concert (Thursday, July 16), an Allman Brothers tribute (Friday, August 7), and a Toby Keith tribute with drone show (Friday, August 14).
The Amphitheater is located at 631 Veterans Place Drive in Central Park, with parking available at the main lot and garage at Lydia Hill Drive. For questions, call 636.537.4000 or email ampinfo@chesterfield.mo.us.
