Bid on a Taylor Swift Guitar — and Help Build Wildwood's All-Inclusive Playground

A Taylor Swift-signed guitar, a Bob Gibson-signed baseball, and Kate Spade purses are up for grabs — and every bid brings Wildwood one step closer to a playground designed for every child, no matter their ability.

A virtual silent auction to benefit the Village Green All-Inclusive Playground opened April 17 and closes at 1 p.m. on April 25. Residents can browse and bid online at tvgauction.givesmart.com, or stop by the lower level of Wildwood City Hall to view items in person before placing bids online. Other items include a Rustic Weekend Getaway and a Beach Fun package at Lake Timberline.

Donors of $1,000 or more will receive special recognition in the park. Donations of $250 or more qualify for a tax acknowledgment letter.

The auction closes just one hour after the ribbon cutting ceremony, set for noon on April 25 at City Hall, 16860 Main Street. After the ceremony, guests are invited on a guided tour of the future playground site on the west half of the Village Green, right next to City Hall in Town Center.

The city has set a $2.3 million fundraising goal for the project, which launched in October 2025. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2026, with the playground designed by Unlimited Play, a St. Louis-area firm specializing in accessible play spaces.

The design incorporates wheelchair-compatible surfaces, equipment that doesn't require lifting children, and changing tables that accommodate larger children and adults.
