Chesterfield Loses Its Olive Blvd Urgent Care as Total Access Shuts Five Clinics
Chesterfield families looking for walk-in medical care on Olive Boulevard will need a new plan — Total Access Urgent Care has permanently closed its clinic at 13426 Olive Blvd after less than two years in business.
The Chesterfield location was one of five TAUC clinics shut down across the St. Louis region in April, all citing low patient volume. Kelly Baynes, senior vice president of operations at Urgent Care Group — TAUC's parent company — told the St. Louis Business Journal that reopening the locations is unlikely.
Baynes said the chain's overall patient numbers held steady even after the closures, suggesting people near the newer clinics simply kept going to the TAUC locations they already knew rather than switching.
The Chesterfield clinic opened in March 2024. The other closures hit Ellisville, University City, Webster Groves, and Kirkwood — all among TAUC's newest locations. Three had been open less than a year. Before the cuts, TAUC operated 31 clinics across Missouri and Illinois, making it the largest urgent care operator in the St. Louis area. It now runs 26.
